The settlement, whose territory consists of 35 villages, villages and villages, has a rich history.
For the first time the village of Pyshlitsy is mentioned in 1627 as Kostino village. In the famous Vladimir Vladimir's book, compiled by V. Kropotkin, it is written: “For Lev Nikiforov's son Matyushkin - in the estate by Tsarovev of the Grand Duke Mikhail Fedorovich of All Russia import letters, signed by the clerk Neupokoev Kokoshkin, in 195, 1627), in a letter, signed by clerk Neupokoev Kokoshkin, in 195, 1627) in Novgorod Ivan Lizunov in Terekhovsky village of Kromina, which was Kostino village in dry land ... ”.
In 1732, with the blessing of the Holy Synod, a church was built in the village of Kostino in honor of Michael the Archangel. The pilgrims going to this temple, as it was found in Russia, said: “I go to the Archangel”, “I go to the Archangel”. And subsequently the village Kostino, first in conversations and then in documents, was renamed. In the documents there are both names: the village of Archangel and the village of Archangel. In 1790, following the results of the general survey of the Ryazan Province, the Kostino village was officially mentioned for the first time as the village of Arkhangelskoye in the Economic Notes on the Plan of the General Survey of the Ryazan Province.
Not far from the village of Arkhangelsk, and in fact, on its outskirts was the village of Pyshlitsy. In the years of collectivization there is a collective farm named. Stalin, who united the peasants with. Arkhangelsk and D. Pyshlitsy. In 1939, according to the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR (dated June 7, 1939), the village of Archangel (as in the documents) was renamed the village of Pyshlitsy.
In the coat of arms of the settlement, the figure of Michael the Archangel, symbolizes the ancient name of the village - "Archangel". Being the leader of the Lord's army, the Archangel Michael is considered the patron saint of soldiers fighting for a just cause.
