Feature
The album was written and recorded without the participation of group founder David Allen , and accordingly deprived of the hippistic eccentricity of previous albums. Nevertheless, in general, he retains the style of progressive rock (especially in terms of the guitar work of Steve Hillage ), slowly drifting in the direction of jazz fusion . Typically, an album is seen as transitional in style between Allen's progressive fantasy and Pierre Merlin's jazz fusion of the late 1970s.
The album was produced by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason .
