Biography
Nikolai Zadorin was born on November 24, 1908 in St. Petersburg . He graduated from high school, then the factory apprenticeship school , after which he worked as a mechanic, traffic controller, master of the Krasnaya Zarya plant in Leningrad. The Zadorin family made up a working dynasty at this factory: father Stepan Grigoryevich, a hereditary worker, began working at the Krasnaya Zarya in the early 1920s, then his sons Nikolai and Konstantin began working with him [1] .
In 1932, Nikolai Zadorin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. After graduating from the Oryol Armored School , he served in the Trans-Baikal Military District . He participated in the battles at Khalkhin Gol, during which he was appointed commander of a tank company of the 3rd tank battalion of the 11th light tank brigade of the 1st army group [2] .
July 12, 1939 Zadorin took part in 3 tank attacks, during which he suppressed 6 enemy firing points, removed 2 wrecked tanks from the battlefield [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 29, 1939, for “skillful command of a platoon and company, personal courage and heroism shown in the performance of military and international duty,” Senior Lieutenant Nikolai 3adorin was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin . Subsequently, he was awarded the Golden Star medal number 135 [2] .
Since June 1940 he served in the Leningrad Military District , was an assistant chief of staff of the 49th Tank Regiment of the 24th Panzer Division. Since June 1941 - on the fronts of World War II. He died in battle on September 15, 1941 in the vicinity of the Mga station of the Leningrad Region [2] .
He was also awarded the Mongolian Order of the Red Banner [2] .
