Koksay ( Kazakh. Kөksai , until 1998 - the Path of Ilyich [1] ) is a village in the Karasai district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan . Included in the Irgelinsky rural district. Located about 13 km northeast of the center of Kaskelen . The KATO code is 195247400 [2] .

In 1999 the population of the village was 4835 people (2389 men and 2446 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 7,769 people (3,841 men and 3,928 women) lived in the village [3] .
