Zhandosovo ( kaz. Zhandosov , formerly Dzhandosovo ) is a village in the Karasai district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the Zhandosovsky rural district. The KATO code is 195235100 [2] .

Content
Geography
Located on the banks of the Shamalgan River. 8 km southwest of the regional center of Kaskelen.
History
It was founded in 1958 in connection with the formation of the Almaly fruit and berry association. Since 1964 it bears the name of Dzhandosov Orazali Kakimovich, one of the first Kazakh geologists [3] .
Population
In 1999, the village population was 3,173 people (1,526 men and 1,647 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 5425 people (2676 men and 2749 women) lived in the village [4] .
