It is located about 72 km east-northeast (ENE) of the village Beyneu , the administrative center of the district. The KATO code is 473647100 [1] .

The village of Turysh was founded in 1996 [2] .
Content
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 518 people (268 men and 250 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 636 people lived in the village (326 men and 310 women) [3] .
Infrastructure
An educational school, a feldsher-midwife center, a library, a club, a post office, a telephone station, a meteorological station, and a seasonal anti-plague station are functioning in Turysh [2] .
Attractions
The grave of the Kazakh batyrs Barak Satybaldyuly (1743—1840) and Asau Barakula (1763—1846) [4] is located 15 km south-east of the village of Turysh.
