Biography
Dmitry Kudryashov was born on October 26, 1985 in the city of Volgodonsk , Rostov Region . He studied at secondary school No. 22, where he was in the karate section from eight years old, then at the age of thirteen he came to the Olympus-2 sports club and began to actively engage in boxing under the guidance of coach Nikolai Timofeev.
Amateur career
Over time, he quickly progressed, repeatedly becoming the winner in city and regional competitions. For four years he boxed in Rostov, played for the Labor Reserves club, then in 2008 he was drafted into the army, served in the city of Kalach-on-Don in 22 OBRON VV Kobra. In January 2011, he won the VII All-Russian Class “A” boxing tournament “Spartak Cup”, for which he was awarded the title of Master of Sports [1] . In total, at the amateur level he spent about 150 fights, of which he was defeated only in 12.
Professional career
In the summer of that year, Kudryashov decided to try his hand at professional boxing, on July 30 in the village of Kushchevskaya his debut fight took place against the Ukrainian Alexander Okhrey, whom he confidently defeated by knockout in the third round. Having gained four more unconditional victories, in October 2012, in a match with Uzbek Isroil Kurbanov, he won the vacant belt of the champion of the CIS and Slavic countries according to WBC [2] . In October 2013, he knocked out the famous Barbados boxer Sean Cox .
In October 2014, Kudryashov signed a promotion contract with the Russian company Boxing World [3] .
Fight with Juan Carlos Gomez
November 28, 2014 he knocked out in the 1st round of the ex-world champion in the 1st heavyweight champion of Cuban Juan Carlos Gomez and won the title of WBA International [4] [5] .
Fight with Francisco Palacios
On April 10, 2015, he knocked out in the 1st round of the former world title champion in the 1st heavyweight champion of Puerto Rican Francisco Palacios [6] .
Fight with Olanrevaju Durodola
On November 4, 2015, he met with the Nigerian Olanrevaju Durodola in the fight for the WBC Silver vacant title in the first heavyweight. Before the fight, Kudryashov was considered a clear favorite among bookmakers [7] . Durodola actively began the battle, worked in series, throwing a large number of strokes. In the first round, Kudryashov shocked the opponent with a left hook, but he remained on his feet. Russian minimally (10-9) won the first round. In the second round, Durodol attacked without stopping, being able to pinch the Russian at the ropes. In the end, the referee stopped the fight, as the Russian was shocked and almost did not respond to the opponent’s attacks [8] [9] [10]
2016
May 21, 2016 met with 38-year-old Brazilian Julio Cesar dos Santos. Kudryashov dominated the battle. In the second round, the Brazilian was knocked down after hitting the hull. In the fourth round, Kudryashov again sent the opponent an uppercut on the floor of the ring. Santos stood up to the end of the countdown, but his angle removed him from the continuation of the battle [11]
On December 3, 2016, in the fight for the WBC Silver title in the first heavyweight title, he knocked out in the 1st round of the former world title challenger Colombian Santander Silgado. After a short exchange by jabs, Kudryashov knocked his opponent down. The Colombian got up, but after a few seconds he was knocked out by a heavy left side [12] .
Revenge with Olanrevaju Durodola
On June 3, 2017, he met again with Olanrevaju Durodola . For the second battle, the Russian again approached in the status of a favorite. The first two rounds were almost equal, having passed with varying success, both boxers had successful episodes. In the third round, Durodol held several accurate right crosses through the Russian arm, but at the end of the round Kudryashov shocked the opponent with a powerful left side kick, knocking his mouth guard out of his mouth. Kudryashov tried to finish off the opponent, but the round ended. In the second half of the fourth round, the Nigerian was knocked down after missed strikes. The Russian again tried to finish off the opponent, but he withstood the pressure and went on the counterattack. In the fifth round, Kudryashov again knocked out his opponent. He got up, but again began to miss, and the referee stopped the match [13] [14] [15] .
WBSS Tournament
In 2017, Dmitry Kudryashov took part in the World Boxing Super Series . On July 8, in Monaco, Dmitry's rival was determined for the first (quarter-final) fight in the tournament. They became the undefeated Cuban puncher, the holder of the title of regular world champion according to the WBA , Junior Dorticos .
The fight took place on September 23 in Texas , USA . The first round was not eventful. Dorticos acted from a distance, Kudryashov indicated his intention to work on the body of the opponent. Several power attacks on both sides were not successful. With the start of the second round, Dorticos began to actively attack Kudryashov with deuces, managing to push him to the ropes. Dmitry tried to counterattack, but with little success. Then the action again moved to the center of the ring, and Dorticos continued the attacks, which Kudryashov's slow and predictable answers sometimes followed. Soon, the Cuban struck the exact right side, to which Dmitry tried to respond with a left hook, but missed. Dorticos quickly noticed the appeared “hole” in the defense of the opponent and caused an exact right line, after which Kudryashov fell to the floor. He looked shocked and could not get up normally until the countdown ended. The referee recorded a knockout [16] [17] .
Fight with Ilunga Makaba
On June 16, 2019, in the fight for the vacant title, WBC Sliver met with the famous Congolese puncher Ilunga Makabu , a former contender for the world title. The fight as a whole took place under the control of a more technical and fast African, although Kudryashov periodically brought dangerous blows to the target and shocked the opponent. In some places, the duel took on the character of an open exchange with blows. At the end of the second round, a mutual knockdown almost happened: both definitely fell to the left, after which Kudryashov was knocked down, and Makabu could hardly stay on his feet. At the same time as the gong, Dmitry missed a similar blow and the ropes saved him from falling. In the third and fourth round, both had successful episodes, but Kudryashov missed a large number of strokes and his face was bleeding heavily. In the fifth round, after a series of unrequited strikes to Makabu, the referee stopped the fight, conferring a Congolese victory by technical knockout [18] [19] .

Personal life
Kudryashov enters the ring under the song “Sledgehammer”, which was specially written for him by rapper Dima Stereo [20] . In addition to boxing, he works as a leading specialist in the security service at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant [21] . Married, has a daughter and a son. In addition to boxing, he is fond of history [22] .
