The Noriysk layer ( nori ) is a stratigraphic unit, the middle layer of the upper part of the Triassic system of the Mesozoic erathema. Corresponds to the Norian age, which lasted from about 227 to 208.5 million years ago [1] .
Deposits of the Nori layer are underlain by rocks of the Carnian layer of the Mesozoic Triassic period , overlain by deposits of the Rhiet layer of the Mesozoic Triassic period [1] .
First identified by the Austrian geologist Johann August Georg Edmund Moisisovich von Moischwar in 1869 . The name received from the mountain range of the Nori Alps in Austria [2] .
