Western Thailand ( Thai เว ส เทิ ร์ ประเทศไทย ) is a region in Thailand. In the west it borders with Myanmar , and in the east with Central Thailand .

Geography and Economics
The relief of Western Thailand is characterized by high mountains and deep river valleys. The region is rich in forest areas. Water and minerals are also important natural resources: many dams have been built here, and mining is an important industry in the region [1] .
Administrative Division
Western Thailand includes 6 provinces:
- Kanchanaburi (กาญจนบุรี)
- Phetburi (เพชรบุรี)
- Prachuap Khiri Khan (ประจวบคีรีขันธ์)
- Rataburi (ราชบุรี)
- So (ตาก)
