Biography
Fakhrutdin Zagidulin was born on June 7 (in a new style - 20 ) on June 1911 in the village of Baylangar (now Kukmorsky district of Tatarstan ). Since 1933 he lived in Kemerovo , worked as the head of the supply of the food factory base. In September 1941, Zagidulin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since November 1941 - on the fronts of World War II. By June 1944, Sergeant Fakhrutdin Zagidulin commanded the detachment of the 913th separate combat engineer battalion of the 4th infantry corps of the 7th Army of the Karelian Front . He distinguished himself during the Svir-Petrozavodsk operation [1] .
On June 21, 1944, Zagidulin transported units of the 536th Infantry Regiment across the Svir River to the west of the city of Lodeynoye Pole, Leningrad Region . When his rubber boat was damaged, Zagidulin set up a quick pumping of water and eliminated the damage, after which he was the first in the division to reach the shore occupied by the enemy and landed a platoon of machine gunners. In total, that day Zagidulin made 19 flights, transporting a total of about 350 soldiers and commanders with all weapons, 5 anti-tank guns with ammunition [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 21, 1944, for “exemplary performance of the command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown”, Sergeant Fakhrutdin Zagidulin was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal " Under the number 3823 [1] .
After the war ended, Zagidulin was demobilized. He returned to Kemerovo, worked as an mechanic in a motor depot. He died on January 7, 1998, was buried in the Kemerovo cemetery No. 1 [1] .
He was also awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and Glory of the 3rd degree, a number of medals [1] .
