Biography
Born in 1905 in the city of Nikolaev of the Russian Empire in a working class family (according to other sources in the village of Belousovka, now Voznesensky district, Nikolaev region of Ukraine [2] ). Russian .
Received primary education.
In 1927-1929 he served in the Red Army. In August 1941, the Nikolaev City Military Commissariat again called up the army. Because of the desire to fight in the fleet at the recruiting office, I exchanged documents with the appointment received there. I. M. Samburov. Directed to the Black Sea Fleet on the destroyer "Shaumyan" . He participated in the defense of Odessa and Sevastopol. After the death of the ship in April 1942, he was enlisted as a diver in the 7th separate motorized pontoon-bridge battalion. He fought on the Southern , Stalingrad , Don and Steppe fronts. He participated in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, the liberation of Left-Bank Ukraine. Additionally, he mastered the specialty motor boat.
A diver of the 7th Separate Motorized Pontoon-Bridge Battalion, Private Ivan Samburov, when crossing the Dnieper on September 25, 1943 in the area of Borodaevka village ( Verkhnedneprovsky district, Dnipropetrovsk region ) drove a ferry for six days, ferrying artillery and tanks. When hovering the floating bridge, it provided entry of links to the bridge line, skillfully taking the ferry and the boat out of the fire zone.
He died on October 5, 1943 , being at the helm of a boat near the village of Pridnepryanskoe, Kobelyaksky district, Poltava region [3] . He was buried in the village of Radyanskoe, Kobeliak district of the Poltava region.
Awards
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on December 20, 1943 posthumously. Awarded the Order of Lenin.
