Service History
She made 3 military campaigns and did not achieve success. It was sunk on July 31, 1942 east of the Azores at a point with coordinates British sloops HMS Erne , HMS Rochester and HMS Sandwich . All 50 crew members were killed.
First trip

May 14, 1942 U-213 landed agent Abwehr Alfred Langbein ( German: Alfred Langbein ) on the Canadian coast near St. Martin a, county of New Brunswick . Commander
The sole boat commander from August 30, 1941 to July 31, 1942 was the lieutenant tsur zee Amelung von Warendorff ( German Oberleutnant zur See Amelung von Varendorff ). Representative of the Westphalian line of the noble family of Warendorf, known since the 13th century. In 1935, a cadet entered the service of the German Navy. Maritime training took place at the Gorkh Fok training barracks, and officer training at the naval school in Murvik .
