Geography
Located on the Indigirka River , 50 km south-west of White Mountain . The village of Druzhina is located in a seismic zone [1] .
History
Founded in 1937 during the development of the Indigirka River and the formation of the Indigir Shipping Company. It was the district center of Abyisky district. Frequent flooding of the village and severe flooding in 1951, 1959, 1968 pushed the leadership to transfer the district center to a place with more efficient socio-economic development. The district center was transferred from Druzhina in 1974 [2] .
