Geographical position
The city is located in the northern part of the province, on the territory of the Malacca Peninsula, on the right bank of the Pattani River, at a distance of approximately 790 kilometers south of the capital of Bangkok . The absolute height is 31 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2000 census, the population of the city was 74,139 people [2] . The national composition includes Thais , Malays and Chinese . Most believers are Muslims [3] .
Economics and Transport
The main product of urban exports is rubber [3] . Trang connects with other cities through rail and road transport. The nearest airport is Pattani [1] .
