Story
Six-part television art franco-italo-german mini-series . A film adaptation of the novel by Alexander Dumas , which is very close to the text, in which practically all the plot lines and characters are preserved, many dialogs and replicas of the novel are transferred to the screen word for word.
Sailor Edmond Dantes convicted of a crime he did not commit. Having escaped from prison and becoming Earl of Monte Cristo, he administers justice, repaying his enemies according to their merits. For a detailed presentation of the plot, see the article " Count of Monte Cristo ."

- The leading actor - the famous French theater and film actor, screenwriter and director Jacques Weber - was impressed by the novel and the image, staged the play "Monte Cristo" as a director, in which he played, rethinking the main role: in 1987 in the theater the city of Nice and in 1988 - in the Grand Hall of the Grand Al in La Villette Park in Paris .

- This mini-series was professionally translated and voiced into Russian and was shown on Russian television in the early 1990s on one of the central television channels, but has not yet been released on DVD in Russia.
