“Long live mature women” ( In Praise of Older Women ), Canada , 1978 - the eleventh film of the Canadian director George Kuchendera. The script was written by Stephen Wikinzi for the novel of the same name, as well as Paul Gottlieb and Barry Wexler. The action takes place in Hungary during and after World War II , but the film itself was shot in Montreal , Canada . The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 14, 1978.

Story
Andresh Wajda (Tom Berenger), grows up in a turbulent, war-killed, Hungary, where he brings local girls with occupying soldiers during the Second World War . Frustrated by girls of his age, he meets Maya (Karen Black), a married woman who, at 30, teaches him the intricacies of sex and romance. Maya was only the first of many mature women who met him through youthful, young and adult life.
