Education

After graduating from the 10th grade of the Dokuchaev secondary school No. 4 in 1978, Andrei Ponomarev began his career as an auxiliary worker at the Dokuchaev flux-dolomite plant. In 1980 he entered the Dnepropetrovsk Order of the Red Banner Mining Institute. Artyom, who graduated with honors in 1985, having received a diploma in qualification “Mining engineer”.

In 2003 he defended his thesis in the specialty "Physical processes of mining." Candidate of Technical Sciences. [one]

Labor

  • In 1985-1995, he was the head of the Stylsky and Eastern quarries.
  • Since 1995, he served as Deputy General Director of the DFK.
  • In 1999, he headed the Dokuchaev Flux-Dolomite Plant.
  • Since 2000 - Chairman of the Board of OJSC “DFDK”.
  • In 2002, 2006 and 2010 he was elected to the Donetsk Regional Council.

In the 2012 parliamentary elections, he was elected People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Party of Regions in the single-mandate majoritarian constituency No. 61. According to the results of the vote, he won by gaining 54.76% of the vote. [2]

In the extraordinary elections of People’s Deputies of Ukraine, in 2014 he ran as a self-nominated candidate in single-member constituency No. 61. However, the Central Election Commission did not transmit ballots to the District Electoral Commission No. 61, as a result of which the elections did not take place in this constituency.

Family

Married, has three daughters.
