Philippe d'Artois ( fr. Philippe d'Artois , 1358 - June 16, 1397 ) - 3rd Earl of d'Et ( 1387 - 1397 ), French connetable ( 1392 - 1396 ), fourth son of Jean d'Artois Landless ( 1321 - 1387 ), Count d'Et ( 1350 - 1387 ), and Isabella de Melun ( 1328 - 1389 ).

Biography
In July 1387, after the death of his older brother Robert IV d'Artois ( 1356 - 1387 ), Count d'Et ( 1387 ), Philip inherited the county d'Et ( 1387 - 1397 ).
Member of the Hundred Years War with England. In 1383, the city of Bourgburg was conquered from the British. In 1390 he took part in the expedition of Louis II the Good, Duke de Bourbon , to North Africa, where he participated in the siege of Tunisia .
On November 25, 1392, after the removal of the French Connable by Olivier de Clisson, Philippe d'Artois was appointed the new Connable of France. In 1396 he went on a crusade against the Ottoman Turks to Hungary, together with Jean the Fearless , Count of Nevers. September 28, 1396 participated in the battle with the Turks near Nikopol . Largely due to his hindsight and gross tactical errors, the battle was lost, many nobles died. The constable Philippe d'Artois himself was captured, where he died the following year.

On January 27, 1393, he married Mary (1367-1434), Countess de Montpensier, daughter of Jean the Magnificent ( 1340 - 1416 ), Duke of Berria (1360-1416), Jeanne d'Armagnac ( 1348 - 1388 ). Children:
