History

The first version of the system for DOS was released in December 1991 and was a software package and databases with documents. [3]

In 1995, a version of the "Code" for Microsoft Windows 95 appeared. In this version of the system, the first signs of a single information space appeared: a search on all the bases of the system and hyperlinks to documents. In 1996, the first thematic system appeared - “Assistant Accountant”. A year later, she won the Business Soft'97 contest.

In 1998, the Stroyexpert-Codex system for technical specialists was created, which subsequently became the ancestor of systems under the Tekhexpert brand. [four]

In 1999, the Codex developed a system for lawyers that includes materials from judicial and arbitration practice in the database. In 2002, the company launched the Codex: Education product for secondary and higher education institutions, training centers and continuing education courses. [5]

In 2009, a version of all systems for Linux was released, a new system “Medicine and Health Care” appeared. In 2014, the specialized Small Business system was released, which includes all the documents that may be required by entrepreneurs at this level.

System Information

The system is an electronic directory of legal databases, with a thematic separation [6] , including:

  • documents of international, federal and regional legislation;
  • bills ;
  • documents of the judicial system;
  • comments, articles and advice on the application of the law;
  • reference information: exchange rates , standards and digital indicators regulated by law (minimum wage, refinancing rates, tax rates, production calendar, etc.);
  • samples and forms of the system.

In addition to the documentation in the systems, there are a large number of services and services, such as comparing editions, a review of changes, a single help system where users can go, related to the operation of systems and searching for documents, and much more.

Achievements

  • On April 7, 2006, Codex Information Company CJSC, as a result of an open tender of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, won the state contract for the implementation of the AIS “Court Proceedings” in the arbitration courts of the Russian Federation.
  • On October 17, 2008 in the contest “Product of the Year 2008” the system “Assistant Accountant of a Budget Organization” won the 2nd place in the nomination “Accounting Software” [7]
