Shallow water bay juts out between the cape formed by the eastern slope of Stolovaya Mountain and Ogranovich Cape , located 2.6 miles northeast of it. The area adjacent to the shores of the Melkovodnaya Bay is a vast lowland covered with shrubs, grass and reeds. Elevated coastal areas are found only at the entrance capes and on the northwestern coast of the bay, where the Barsovy ridge rises 178.8 m high, located 1.5 miles southwest of Cape Nizmenny . The shores of the bay are meandering, low, shallow, overgrown with shrubs and meadow herbs. The beaches are very narrow, marshy, sometimes covered with rotting algae. In many places, the coast of the bay is cut by rivers and streams. Soil in the silt bay, algae are found.
