Pochinok is a village in the Mikhailovsky rural district of the Volga rural settlement of the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl region [1] .
The village is located on the left bank of the Cheryomukha River, east of the motorway that runs along the banks of the Chermukha from Rybinsk, through Mikhailovskoye to Seltso-Voskresenskoye and further to the Bolshoi Village . The village stands to the south and upstream of the village of Sretenya , which is the informal center in this district. The nearest village (about 1 km) along the road towards Rybinsk is Felisovo , which stands on the opposite bank of the Cheryomukha. Upstream Cheremukha on the same left bank, also at a distance of about 1 km is the village Saygatovo . To the north-west of Pochink, an unnamed left tributary of the Cheryomukha flows, having a mouth on the southern outskirts of Sretenya. Along this stream there are small villages Kondyrevo and Kuretnikovo , there used to be a third village in this row, Dyakovo . In this area, along the banks of Cheryomukha, there are small agricultural lands around the villages, further from the river in a westerly direction a forest 4–6 km wide begins, beyond which the villages of the Pokrovsky rural settlement begin [2] .
As of January 1, 2007, there were 21 permanent residents in the village [3] . The post office located in the village of Sretenye serves 25 houses in the village [4] .
