Metrionella (lat.) Is a genus of shield beetle bugs ( Cassidini ) from the leaf beetle family. 12 species. Central and South America [1] . The body is flattened. The head is not visible from above, as it is covered by a pronotum. A herbivorous group, feed on plants of various families, including bindweed ( Convolvulaceae : Ipomoea sp.) [2] .
