Biography
Claude-Germain Bertault was born March 22, 1923 in France. After receiving secondary education, he joined the missionary organization Paris Society of Foreign Missions. May 31, 1953 was ordained a priest and sent on a mission to Indochina.
On April 9, 1970, Pope Paul VI appointed Claude-Germain Berto as bishop of Ubon Ratchathani. On July 17, 1970, Claude-Germain Berto was ordained bishop by Bishop Claude-Philippe Bayeux , accompanied by Archbishop Thari and Nonseng Michael Kien Samopitak and Bishop Nakhon Raiashima Alain Savier Ferdinand van Engraver.
May 24, 1976 Claude-Germain Berto resigned.
He died on February 21, 1994 in Ubon Ratchathani.
