Geography

It is located about 36 km south-west of the village of Balpyk-Bi . Nearby is the A-3 highway ( Alma-Ata - Ust-Kamenogorsk ).

History

Ainabulak Station is the site of the Turksib bow [2] . Before the bow, it was called Ogiz-Korgan.

Interesting Facts

  • The solemn event of Turksib’s bow was held at 12 noon on April 28, 1930, 8 months ahead of schedule. T. Ryskulov (deputy chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR, repressed in 1938), U. Isaev (chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of Kazakhstan), Shafikov (chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Bashkiria), Saint-Katayama (member of the Presidium of the Executive Committee of the Comintern), and the Consul General spoke at the ceremonial rally . China in Semipalatinsk Mo-Wei-Thun.
  • Correspondents from all over the USSR arrived, including Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov , representing the Gudok newspaper. In their well-known novel The Golden Calf , Turksib is called the Eastern Highway, the place of the bow is The Thundering Key. It follows that the transfer of the coveted million by the underground millionaire Alexander Ivanovich Koreiko to the great combinator Ostap Bender took place at Ainabulak station.

Population

In 1999, the station's population was 812 people (401 men and 411 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 754 people (353 men and 401 women) lived in the village [3] .
