History

Karate was founded by Geoff Farina, Eamon Witt and Gavin McCarthy, in 1995 Jeff Goddard joined them as a bass player, and Eamon Witt began to play the second guitar. In 1997, Witt left the team to pursue a medical career. [1] In July 2005, Karate broke up due to the fact that Farina was no longer able to tolerate the noise on stage due to hearing problems. For 12 years, they managed to release six studio albums and conduct nearly 700 concerts [2] , having received wide popularity in narrow circles. The last performance was played on July 10, 2005 in Rome . In 2007, former members of the group decided to release a concert album , which was called "595", due to the fact that they recorded five hundred and ninety-fifth concerts. The performance was recorded during a tour in support of the album “Some Boots” on May 5, 2003 in Leuven , Belgium .
