Biography
Vit Yanov was born in 1987 in the Czech city of Jablonec nad Nisou . Here in 2000 he began to engage in biathlon in the club Skp Jablonex. Since 2005, Wit began to be involved in the national team of the Czech Republic. The first major international start was the performance at the European Cup stage in the Austrian city of Obertilliach . In parallel with his performance at the European Cup, Wit participated in the World Junior Championships. The best achievements at the youth level in the career of Janov were the 6th place in the relay at the 2007 World Championships and the 10th place in the relay race at the World Championships a year later. In the individual races, Vita became the 13th highest pursuit race in 2007 for the highest achievement.
At the European Championships, Wit took part in 23 races, but was never able to climb the podium, three times taking the 5th place (twice in the relay and once in the pursuit).
World Cup
At the World Cup, Vit made his debut in 2010 in Norwegian Holmenkollen . In the sprint, the young Czech biathlete took 52nd place, and in the pursuit race Janov took 53rd place. The following season, Wit took part in the Slovenian Pokljuka stage, but the results were also not the best. In the individual race he took the 75th place, and in the sprint the 65th. In the same season, it was announced at the stage in Ruhpolding , but in the end it did not start.
The next start in the World Cup Wit had to wait more than 2 years. In March 2013, Yanov took part in the stage in Sochi . The beginning of the stage was not very successful for the Czech, in the individual race Wit took only 75th place, but in the sprint Wit was able to win his first cup points, taking 39th place. The next day, Wit was included in the national team of the Czech Republic to participate in the relay race. Yanov was put on the third stage, which he went through, spending 4 additional cartridges. At the finish line, the Czech team came third and Wit won his first award at the World Cup. At the next stage of the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, Wit took part in the sprint and took the 71st place there.
