The Legend of Cutlet and Compote
In 1959, scientists conducted a census of the USSR . It turned out that almost half of Soviet women are housewives . A stove became an insurmountable obstacle to communism. There were demands - to free a woman from the hardships of domestic work. So catering was born ...
Narpet and catering, restaurants and eateries, Olivier and Fish Day, fast food and grocery sets ...
Soviet sport
What the authorities didn’t take in order to gain sporting authority in the international arena. Athletes and coaches who did not achieve obvious results were fined and imprisoned. There were rumors of athletes who committed suicide due to defeat. The teams defeated in away games were afraid to return to their homeland. Someone thinks this is wildness, someone believes that this is the only way to win, but all are one in one: Soviet sport was indeed a legend.
Legend of the Soviet turn
The Soviet line for deficit is the longest line in the world; it has stretched for more than 70 years. They tried to cope with it with the help of cards , coupons, special rations, but even if you had a coupon, you still had to fight for it
Soviet fashion
A shapeless and asexual costume - this is how Mimra was dressed from the movie Eldar Ryazanov's Office Romance . But everyone dressed like that. There were, of course, rebel dudes , but in general the country was deprived of fashion for many years ...
Housing issue
The housing problem ... It spoiled not only Muscovites - residents of all cities of the Soviet Union, without exception, waged an unequal struggle for square meters. People stood in lines for 15 years. And before the Khrushchev and panel houses came, there were communal apartments , and they were compared to indefinite penal servitude, where people were born and died. Today, some remember that time with nostalgia, others with a shudder ...
Soviet holidays
Mimosas on March 8 , balls on May 1 , an Olivier and a Christmas tree with a star for the New Year ... Instead of religious, Orthodox holidays, the Soviet Union planted ideologically correct, Soviet: not Christmas, but New Year, not Easter, but May Day. The story from March 8 is completely mysterious ...
Our happy childhood
You must remember how it was. From infancy, we were taught to live in a team: the same diapers in the hospital, the same uniform at school, pioneer camps, rulers, " Eaglet " and " Zarnitsa " ... The Soviet government wanted to raise a " new type of person ." It's time to evaluate what happened ...
Soviet stage
Strict demands were made on the Soviet stage , they concerned both the appearance of the performers and the repertoire. Taboo was imposed on any improvisation , on each manifestation of individuality. How did the artists manage to survive in such conditions? And why, despite the draconian restrictions, was the Soviet stage great?
Soviet cinema
For 70 years, Soviet cinema existed between two fires. On the one hand, the ideology was asked from the directors, on the other - ... profit. Famous Soviet actors and directors remember Nikita Mikhalkov , Eldar Ryazanov , Valery Garkalin , Svetlana Nemolyaeva , trying to sit on two chairs with a laugh and a shudder.
The birth and death of Soviet sausage
Sausage can be considered the official fetish of the USSR. Her cult lasted longer than the Soviet state itself. According to her presence / absence, leaders and epochs were measured, she was traded on coupons and from under the floor, she was taken on a pull, she was chased on “sausage trains”, her social status was determined. She gave the name to a whole layer of post- and Soviet people - “ sausages ” ...
