The offspring of the actual state adviser Franz Petrovich Devien († January 8, 1885), by the Decree of the Governing Senate of September 22, 1875, on personal merits, confirmed in hereditary noble dignity with his sons: Victor , Peter and Sergey , who issued certificates of nobility , with the right to be included in the third part of the noble genealogy book.
Emblem Description
In the scarlet shield is a golden eagle with black eyes and tongue.
Above the shield is a noble helmet with a scarlet-gold nimbus . Crest: the body of a black man without arms, turned to the right in a scarlet robe with gold buttons, in a scarlet hat with an ermine edge. Bait : scarlet with gold. The coat of arms of Devien is included in Part 13 of the General Herbarium of the noble families of the All-Russian Empire, p. 174.
