Tejada in the national team of Panama

Tejada is a graduate of the Tauro Club Football Academy. In 2001, he made his debut for the team and immediately became its main striker. Louis spent his second season at Plaza Amador , scoring 14 goals in 27 matches. In 2003, he moved to Colombia, signing a contract with Deportes Tolima , but was unable to gain a foothold in the team. The very next season, Tejada began at Envigado . He scores for the new team regularly.

In the summer of 2005, thanks to a successful performance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Tejada signs a 3-year contract with Al Ain from the UAE . However, in the new club, he did not show the effectiveness that was at the tournament and shortly after the end of the AFC Champions League, Tehada returned to his homeland.

In Panama, Tejada signed a contract with his former club, Plaza Amador. Despite the fact that he consistently scored goals, he received the nickname “fat man” from the fans, due to the fact that he could not get the optimal condition. In the summer of 2006, he returned to Colombia , where he entered into an agreement with Onse Caldas . After three matches in the new team, Tejada was expelled from the team for discipline problems.

On December 12, 2006, Tejada signed a contract with American Real Salt Lake for the 2007 season. In MLS, Louis spent just a few minutes in five games, after which the head coach of the team, Jason Kreis, said he did not need an attacker [2] . Tejada returned to his hometown in the Tauro. He spent a little time at the club, as he soon signed with “ America ” from Cali , but for “Tauro” Luis managed to score 4 goals in 4 matches. In the first season, Tehada scored only three goals for the new team, but in the next season he became the key player of the team and with 12 goals its top scorer. With America, Louis made it to the championship finals, where his club lost to Boyaco Chico . After the championship, many clubs showed interest in the striker, including the Argentinean River Plate [3] . In the winter of 2008, Tejada moved to Millionarios . On February 8, 2009, in his match against Junior , he made his debut for a new team [4] . On March 22, in a duel against Santa Fe , Tejada scored his first goal for the club [5] .

After an unsuccessful performance for Millionarios, Tejada moved to the Peruvian Juan Aurich . On February 15, 2010, in his match against Melgar , he made his debut in the championship of Peru [6] . On April 4, in a fight against Universidad César Vallejo , Louis scored his first goal for a new team [7] . In 2011, Tejada won the championship of Peru and became his top scorer. In “Juan Aurich” he spent three seasons and scored 33 goals in 65 matches.

In the summer of 2012, Tejada moved to the Mexican Toluca . September 24, in a match against Atlanta , he made his debut in the Mexican Example [8] . In the same match, he scored his first goal and helped the team win.

On March 7, 2013, in the Libertadores Cup match against Barcelona Guayaquil , Tejada scored a goal that helped his team draw [9] .

International Career

In the Panama national team, Tejada made his debut in 2001. On June 27, 2003, in a friendly match against the Cuban national team, he scored the first goal for the national team .

In 2005, Louis was included in the application for participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . He took part in all fights and scored two goals against the teams of Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia . According to the results of the competition, Louis was recognized as the most valuable player. In 2009, Tejada again took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . He took part in all the meetings and scored twice in the match against Nicaragua , and was also removed in the 1/4 final match against the US team .

In 2011, Tejada took part in the competition for the third time. He helped the national team take first place in the group, scoring two goals against Canada and Guadeloupe . In a 1/4 match against the national team of Honduras , his ball at the end of the meeting helped Panama reduce the match to a penalty shootout in which they won and reached the semifinals.

In 2015, Louis won the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the second time. In the tournament, he played in matches against the national teams of Haiti [10] , Honduras [11] , Trinidad and Tobago [12] , Mexico [13] and the USA [14] . In fights against the Hondurans and Trinidad, Tejada scored two goals.
