Durban University of Technology Durban University of Technology , (DUT) is located in KwaZulu-Natal , South Africa . It was founded in 2002 as a result of the merger of Technicon Natal and Technicon named after M. L. Sultan. Previously known as the Durban Institute of Technology, Eng. Durban Institute of Technology .

It has 4 campuses in Durban and 2 in Pietermaritzburg . In 2005, there were about 20,000 students. In 2007, there were 22,702 students, of whom 19,007 studied full-time and 3,695 part-time. Of these, 22381 were South African nationals, 243 from other countries of the South African Customs Union and 78 from other countries. [one]
