Nizhny Bargyap ( Abkh. Aladaҭәy Bargyap , cargo. ქვემო ბარღები - Kvemo-Bargebi ) is a village in Abkhazia , in the Gal district of the partially recognized Republic of Abkhazia , according to the administrative division of Georgia , in the Gali municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia [1] . Located 15 km southwest of the Gal . Administratively , the village is the administrative center of the village administration of Nizhny Bargyap .

According to the 1989 census , 2,144 people lived in the territory of the Nizhne-Bargyap rural administration (village council) [4] , according to the 2011 census, the population of the Nizhny Bargyap rural administration amounted to 1,677 people, mostly Georgians (1,669 people or 99.5%) [ 5] [6] .
