Career
At the 1950 World Championships in Lake Placid, he won a bronze medal in the 18 km race, losing 41 seconds to silver medalist Swede Enar Yosefsson and only 1 second defeating Finnish fourth-time August Kiur . In addition, at that championship, he became 14th in the 50 km race.
He has no other significant achievements at the international level; he never participated in the Olympic Games . At the Norwegian championships, he won twice in relay races (1950 and 1951), in addition, he was twice third in 50 km races (1947 and 1948).
