(1980) Tescatlipoca ( Spanish Anza ) - a near - Earth asteroid from the Amur group ( II ), which belongs to the light spectral class S. It was discovered on June 19, 1950 by American astronomers and at the Palomar Observatory and named after one of the main deities of the Mayans and Aztecs , the god Tescatlipoc [3] .
