He participated in the first shootings of Gagarin Yu.A. after his return from space on April 12, 1961 .
Biography
M. M. Rafikov was born on March 1, 1924. During the war he worked at an aircraft factory, after the war he took courses at the Moscow Aviation Institute . In 1951 he graduated from VGIK , after which he was sent to Mosnauchfilm (until 2003 - Tsentrnauchfilm ) for the filming of "closed paintings" (films that had the signature stamp ). His first shootings took place at the Kapustin Yar rocket range during the creation of a secret film about the tests of the R-2 rocket. In September 1954 he was sent to the Semipalatinsk training ground for filming a nuclear weapon test. According to him, he participated in the filming of more than 40 nuclear explosions from 1954 to 1960 .
He was married, son - filmmaker Marat Rafikov.
