Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation ( Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia ) is a federal executive body that performs the functions of implementing state policy and legal regulation in the field of internal affairs, in the field of control over the circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, and in the field of migration . The jurisdiction of the internal affairs bodies regulates the Criminal Procedure Code of Russia . The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, as in the Russian IC and the Russian Emergencies Ministry , provides for law enforcement and federal civil civil service. It refers to the state militarized organizations that have the right to acquire military hand-held small arms and other weapons [4] .

Manual

The Ministry is headed by the Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation, appointed by decree of the President of the Russian Federation . Since 2012, the head of the Ministry is the General of the Police of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Alexandrovich Kolokoltsev .

The residence of the Minister and all senior management of the Ministry, as well as all departments and offices are located in Moscow .

Reforming 2016

On April 5, 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Federal Service for Drug Control and the Federal Migration Service , which previously acted as separate bodies, are included in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On the basis of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia , the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation (Rosgvardia) is created, which is not part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia [10] .
