Adolf Abel ( German: Adolf Abel ; November 27, 1882 , Paris - November 13, 1968 , Brookberg ) - German architect and teacher of higher education.

Biography
Born in the family of an architect. He graduated from the University of Stuttgart (1902-1904) and at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (1904-1905), after which he made a long study trip to Northern Italy. After returning to his homeland, he worked in Dresden (1906-1908), collaborating with Paul Wallot. In 1909 he moved to Stuttgart and worked at the Schmol & Stelin architectural bureau, and from 1910-1914, at the Eisenlor and Pfennig bureau. After the end of the First World War, Adolf Abel got an assistant at the Stuttgart Higher Technical School , in 1921-1925 he taught at it. At the same time, he led the high-rise construction department at Neckar-AG . In 1925, Adolf Abel took over as director of urban development in Cologne and worked in this position until 1930. In 1930, Abel received the title of professor of architecture and urban construction at the Munich Technical University . In the years 1933-1945, under the National Socialists, Adolf Abel was mainly engaged in lecture activities and the implementation of private orders.
In 1946-1949, the architect was engaged in restoration work in the West German state of Baden-Württemberg and in Munich, and was a member of the commission for the restoration of Baden-Württemberg. In the years 1949-1955, he served as a professor at the Darmstadt Technical University . In 1955 he returned to Stuttgart.
Adolf Abel was a member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts . He was awarded the Great Cross for the merits of Germany .
