Zhartas ( kaz. Zhartas ) is a village in Zhambyl district of Almaty region of Kazakhstan . Included in the rural district of Matibulak. It is located about 78 km north-west of the village of Uzynagash . The KATO code is 194255500 [1] .

In 1999, the population of the village was 78 people (44 men and 34 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 92 people lived in the village (43 men and 49 women) [2] .
