He replaced the Canon EOS 1000FN and took the bottom of the Canon EOS line. It was produced from September 1993 to 1996 , when the Canon EOS 500N model replaced.

The camera is equipped with lenses with variable focal length , with a "jumping" aperture , with autofocus.

Three lens options were available:

  1. Canon EF 35-80 mm f / 4.0-5.6 II
  2. Canon EF 35-105 mm f / 4.5-5.6 USM
  3. Canon EF 28-80 mm f / 3.5-5.6 II USM and Canon EF 80-200 mm f / 4.5-5.6 II USM
