The act of terrorism in Karachi took place on February 5, 2010 , the target was the Muslim Shiites . At the site of two explosions, 25 people died, another 50 were injured of varying severity. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the radical Sunni group Tehrik Taliban-i-Pakistan .

Attack
On February 5, 2010, a suicide bomber while driving a motorcycle blew himself up near a bus in which Shiite pilgrims rode. At the scene of the explosion, 12 people died. An hour after the attack, another explosion occurred, a second suicide bomber blew himself up near the entrance to the hospital where the wounded pilgrims were brought from the bus. As a result of two attacks, 25 people were killed. The Shiite population of Karachi held mass protests against religious violence in Pakistan.
