About the album
Unlike Coxon's debut album and his previous work, including with Blur , The Golden D has a more heavier and louder sound, except, perhaps, for the song “Keep Hope Alive” . Fame and Fortune and That's When I Reach for My Revolver are cover versions of the songs from the post-punk band Mission of Burma . The cover of the album depicts part of Coxon's The Blue Dog.
