Avat ( kaz. Avat ) is a village in the Enbekshikazakh district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center and the only settlement of Avatsky rural district. It is located about 17 km west of the center of Esik on the right bank of the Talgar River. There is a poultry farm in the village. The highway Alma-Ata - Narynkol passes through Avat [1] . The KATO code is 194033100 [2] .

Population
In 1999, the village population was 3811 people (1819 men and 1992 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 5670 people lived in the village (2793 men and 2877 women) [3] .
