Goldwasser, Shafi

Shafi Goldwasser ( born Shafi Goldwasser , Hebrew שפרירה גולדווסר ( שפי ); born 1958 ) is an Israeli-American scientist, researcher in the field of computer theory, winner of the 2012 Turing Prize . He is a professor in electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology [2] and in mathematics at the Weizmann Institute .

Goldwasser received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1979, after which she entered the University of California at Berkeley , where she received a master's degree (1981) and a Ph.D. in computer science (1984) [3] .

After defense, she taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology , and since 1993 - additionally at the Weizmann Institute [3] .
