Story
In the Enchanted Forest
In a small village in the Magic Forest, we see Little Red Riding Hood, or Ruby ( Meghan Ori ) and Peter ( Jesse Hutch ), who came to visit her, but then her grandmother calls her (Beverly Elliott). A group of residents knock on their door to the house: they plan to go catch a giant wolf that killed the sheep. The hat asks if she can go, but her grandmother does not allow it, she only orders to remain in the cloak. The next morning, the girl goes to check the chickens and finds Snow White ( Ginnifer Goodwin ). Ruby agrees to help Snowball, who, on the run, asks to be named Mary. They go to collect a bucket of water and notice that the water is full of blood. They also find bodies that lie in the snow. Later, in the town hall, Grandma tells the peasants about her meeting with a wolf who killed her family 60 years ago and left her with a scar, stating that there is no way that could kill a new one. But despite this, Ruby and Snow White, who became friends, decided that they would seek the wolf themselves.
The cap finds traces of the wolf, but they turn into human traces. Even worse, they lead to her house and recalls that Peter was the last one there. That night, the girl tells Peter that he is a werewolf, and therefore she must tie him in the full moon, but she will stay with him. In the house, Grandma finds out that in the coat is Snow White. She assures the old woman that they are safe, since Little Red Riding Hood tied Peter up. Grandmother is alarmed by this and explains that her granddaughter is this werewolf. It turns out that she herself is also a wolf, but has lost its power due to age and willpower, although it can still track anything by smell. They find the tree where the Cap bound Peter, but too late: she went through the transformation and tore it up. Grandmother shoots Ruby with a silver arrow, and Snowball throws a raincoat on her. Little Red Riding Hood returns to its human form and in horror discovers what she did. But the hunt began, and Grandma and her friends hurriedly go home.
In Storybrooke
At the sheriff’s office, Emma ( Jennifer Morrison ) asks David ( Joshua Dallas ) about the absence of Katherine, but since there is no evidence of a crime, she lets him go. At Grandma’s Cafe, Ruby ( Meghan Ori ) talks with Augustus ( Eion Bailey ), who tells her about her travels. Grandma calls her for a long time and tells her to start working more. Ruby tells her that she would rather see the world, like Augustus, and quits. Emma and Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) meet Ruby and Vale ( David Anders ), who wanted to help her. They suggest that she live with them and she agrees. Mary Margaret later goes to the place where Katherine disappeared and meets David, who behaves strangely and never tires of repeating again and again that he is looking for a wife, leaving Mary Margaret very concerned about his behavior.
Back at the sheriff’s office, Henry ( Jared Gilmore ) helps Ruby find a job. When Ruby answers calls and receives messages for Emma, she admires her and offers her a job as her assistant. Ruby goes to pick up lunch for everyone, while Mary Margaret goes to tell Emma everything that happened to David. At the diner, Ruby tries to flaunt how happy she is now, but her grandmother does not pay attention to it. When she returns with food, Emma tells Ruby that she is going to help her find David. They follow the path in the forest when Ruby hears something. She and Emma find David almost unconscious. He says he doesn’t remember anything from the moment he left the sheriff’s office the previous night. At the same time, Ruby does not understand how she found him.
At the hospital, Dr. Vale tells David and Emma that David may faint after he leaves a coma. Emma asks Ruby to go to the bridge and see if she finds anything. There Ruby uses her unknown instincts and finds an unnecessary piece of wood. She screams in horror when she sees what is inside the box. Returning to the office, Emma opens the box. She tells Ruby that she did a good job, but Ruby no longer wants to work in the police. Ruby comes to the diner, where she talks to Grandma, and says she wants to return. Grandma tells Ruby that when she retires, Ruby will become the owner. After she hugs her, Ruby gets the opportunity to return to work and quits Emma's job.
Mary Margaret comes to David's place of work and tries to calm him down. Emma comes to tell them about the box that contains the human heart and fingerprints inside. David reacts immediately and tells Emma to arrest him, but she stops him to say that the fingerprints belong to another suspect, Mary Margaret.
