History
1994—2010
The group was created in 1994 on the basis of the Moray group. The name change was associated with the desire to move away from the stereotypes associated with the "Mroy", and start playing new music at a new level. The album " Pashpart Gramadzyanina NRM " (Passport of a citizen NRM, 1998) has become the pinnacle of the group.
The album " Try čarapachi " (Three turtles, 2000) was a qualitative transition of the group to a new level in work on music. The music and the style of the lyrics slightly changed, which caused the departure of some old lovers of the group and the appearance of numerous new ones. The music became heavier, the lyrics deeper and more relevant. In general, the album is much more professional than the previous ones. Try čarapachi itself became one of NRM's most hit songs, without which not a single concert can do now.
Since 2000, the participants began to devote more of their time to work in other musical projects, in connection with which almost the entire rock scene in Belarus was somehow connected with the members of the NRM group, the group's albums began to appear less often, and the number of solo concerts decreased.
“ Dom kultury ” (House of Culture) (2002) became a consolidation of the transition designated in 2000. Notable hits are “Try čarapachi - 2” and “Fabryka” (Factory).
But since 2002, rumors began to appear about the upcoming breakup of the group, since over the next 4 years not a single new album was released (only two new songs on the collection “Spravazdach 1994-2004” (Report 1994-2004) (2004)). However, over the next three years, the group continued its active concert activity. Numerous appearances took place abroad: in Poland , Germany , Slovakia , Sweden . At home at that time the group was included in the list of banned [1] , so concerts were rare and in semi-underground conditions.
In 2007, the long-awaited sixth studio album “ 06 ” was released. It was recorded, according to Lyavon Volsky, under the influence of political events in the spring of 2006. The album "06" is made up of different-style songs and stands out by the fact that when recording, new instruments for the group were used - cello, mandolin, keyboards. In addition, for the first time, songs are performed not only by Lyavon Volsky, but also by other members of the group and even a children's choir.
After the events of the end of 2007 [2], the group was removed from the list of banned ones, which gives it the opportunity to perform legal concerts in Belarus, which the group is engaged in, conducting active concert activities throughout 2008. At the beginning of 2010, for the first time after a three-year break, the group recorded a new song - “Palіtyka-paralіtyka” [3] . However, in 2011, after the events of December 19, the group was again included in the banned list (although the Belarusian authorities in every way deny the existence of such a list) [4] .
2011 — Nowadays
At the beginning of 2011, Pete Pavlov said that at the current “Rock Coronation” the group will perform without Lyavon Volsky, who, according to him, took “unlimited unpaid leave” [5] . The next day, Lyavon said that he had learned about his "vacation" from the press. He said that for such a decision of the group there really could have been “some prerequisites”, but before that no one had spoken or consulted with him. Volsky apologized to the fans for the fact that such a situation became possible [6] . At the 15th “Rock Coronation”, NRM performed without their permanent vocalist, and guitarist Pete Pavlov performed the vocal parts [7] . From this moment, Lyavon Volsky no longer took part in the activities of the group [8] .
The remaining members began to prepare a new album. The group began touring the country, although in some cities the concerts were still canceled [9] [10] . On February 16, 2012, the first single Pramen ( Rus. Luch ) was released from a future new album and a video clip for this song was presented [11] . On May 18, 2012 in Minsk there was a charity concert “Pramen Sonsa” with the participation of NRM [12] .
In 2013, NRM took part in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 . For the competition, the group prepared a stylized folk song Kuznichka ( Russian. Kuznichka ). In total, 75 applications came to the competition, of which 10 were selected to participate in the final of the republican selection, there were no NRM groups among the finalists. Pete Pavlov said that the group was harassed by the Belarusian-speaking community because of a desire to participate in this contest [13] [14] [15] .
New album “ D.P.B.CH. »Was released in October 2013. The album was greeted pretty cool. Critics mainly noted only the first track of May in May ( Russian. My dream ) [16] [17] .
