Elikor

The Elmat plant was formed on the basis of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Electronic Technology Materials (VNIIMET) of the USSR Ministry of Electronic Industry. VNIIMET was founded on August 11, 1962 by Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 856-367 “On the provision of electronic equipment with clean materials and alloys”. In connection with the rapid development of electronics in 1977, the Council of Ministers of the USSR by decree No. 1894 adopted the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Development of the USSR on the construction in Kaluga of a complex of industrial buildings and structures for the mass production of electronic equipment materials. Construction began in 1978, and in 1980 a building was commissioned for the Elmat factory.

March 20, 1981, by order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade No. 156, the Granat production association was created, which included: the Elmat plant as the parent enterprise, VNIIMET, the Amethyst plant and OKBM.

The economic and political conditions in Russia that have changed since 1991 have also significantly affected the electronic industry, which necessitated its structural restructuring, as a result of which the Elmat plant became an independent enterprise.

For the period from 1981 to the present time, the Elmat factory has organized production in three product areas:

1. cooker hoods under the ELIKOR trademark;
2. furniture profile and furniture fittings made of plastic;
3. furniture of small forms of the Storage and Order series, tables and chairs under the Sheffilton trademark;

Hoods manufactured by ZAO Elmat (TM ELIKOR) are multiple diploma holders and laureates of the competition "100 Best Products of Russia". A new production line is developing - “Small Form Furniture”.

In 2017, the majority share of ELIKOR LLC (one of the ELMAT plant businesses) was acquired by the Franke Group, a provider of integrated solutions for residential kitchens and bathrooms, professional equipment for restaurants ^[1] .

Stages of Development

• 1981-1993 - The Elmat Plant was engaged in the production of special technological equipment for the electronics industry, and the experimental production of magnets and LEDs.
• 1994 - The ELMAT plant was transformed into the ELMAT OJSC, subsequently joint-stocked and reoriented with the modernization of production.
• 1995 - The beginning of the production of shaped moldings from polymer materials with decorative finishes.
• 1996 - Release of the first hood.
• 1998 - Development of the production line “interior items”.
• 1999 - Intensive production growth: the volume of output increased by more than 10 times compared to the same period last year. In addition to its own production of goods for the population, the structure of the group within the Coral association includes the well - known Dovbyshsky and Polonsky porcelain factories ^{[2] [3]} .
• 2000 - Modernization and reconstruction of production equipment and production facilities.
• 2001 - Start of production of a new generation of hoods.
• 2004 - Release of the millionth exhaust hood.
• 2010 - Launch of mass production of an integrated hood with an INTEGRA retractable panel.
• 2010 - The creation of the first kitchen hood with the function of perimeter suction "ONYX".
• 2011 - Commissioning of the automatic powder coating line IMEL.
• 2012 - Presentation of the new ELIKOR website: ELIKOR.COM
• 2013 - Creation of a conceptually new kitchen hood - “Graphite”.
• 2015 - ELIKOR received an international certificate of compliance with European Union Directives.

The increase in production over the years has forced the company to build several new warehouse complexes (in 2007 and 2012).

The goods produced by the main central production unit of the group - Elmat CJSC - have repeatedly become winners of regional and national competitions " 100 best goods of Russia " ^[4] , in particular:

• 2000 - Laureate of the All-Russian program of the competition "100 Best Products of Russia 2000"
• 2001 - a set of furniture for educational institutions "Delta": student table SC-3-2 and a chair ST-2-6 - winners of the regional stage of the Program "100 Best Goods of Russia 2001" in the "Industrial Products for the Population" section
• 2002 - Cooker hoods “Eldom Fireplace Gran” - the winner of the regional competition “100 best goods of Russia 2002”, furniture accessories “Eldom” (handles made of metal, alloys and polymeric materials) - the winner in the section “Industrial products”
• 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2010 - laureate of the All-Russian competition program "100 Best Products of Russia" of the corresponding years.
• 2015 - year Cooker hood “Quartz 60 beige” - laureate of the All-Russian contest “Product of the Year 2015”.
