ITUR (from English Italy - Turkey - Ukraine - Russia ) is an underwater fiber-optic cable laid along the bottom of the Mediterranean and Black Seas, providing communications for the mentioned countries.

The Italy-Turkey-Ukraine-Russia (ITUR) submarine fiber-optic cable system was built and commissioned in 1996. Co-owners of the ITUR cable system are 36 foreign telecommunication companies. The main co-owners of the system and its serving administrations are the companies: Telecom Italy Sparkle ( TIS ), Turktelecom ( TT ), Ukrtelecom and Rostelecom [1]

There are connections to the ITUR fiber optic cable system in the following places:

  1. Palermo , Sicily , Italy
  2. Istanbul , Turkey
  3. Odessa , Ukraine
  4. Novorossiysk , Russia
