Lucio Topatig ( Italian: Lucio Topatigh , born October 19, 1965 in Gallio ) is a legendary Italian hockey player who played as a left forward, one of the most famous players of the Asiago club and the Italian national team [2] [3] .

Career
Club
A pupil of the Asiago hockey club school, played in the Italian championship for this club from 1984 to 1986 in Series A1. In 1986, he joined the Bolzano team, in which he spent another five years and won twice the Italian title. From 1991 to 1993 he again defended the colors of Asiago, in 1993 he moved to the Milan club Devils Milano, in which he became the country's champion in 1994. At the beginning of the 1995/1996 season, he again played for Asiago, but returned to Bolzano during the winter holidays and helped him win the national championship once again, repeating his achievement in 1997 and 1998. From 1999 to 2008, he played again for Asiago, winning his last league title in 2001, winning the Italian Cup twice in 2001 and 2002 and the Italian Super Cup in 2003.
Team
The debut in the national team took place on December 21, 1985 in a match against the national team of the GDR . In total, Lucio spent 83 games for the Italian national team, taking part in 11 world championships (8 of them in the High Division), as well as in three Olympics: in Albertville, Lillehammer and Turin. At the Turin Olympics, Topatig was Italy's oldest player. In 83 games at the World Championships, he scored 14 goals and made 17 assists, and in total he spent 243 games and scored 131 points.
Personal life
July 2, 1994 married his longtime girlfriend Marcia. Raises a son Tommaso and daughter Lucretia [4] . At the age of 37, Lucio opened his own bakery in Gallio.
