Gezer ( Hebrew גזר ) is a kibbutz located 7 km southwest of the city of Ramla . The kibbutz is adjacent to highway 424 (Ramla- Latrun ) and belongs to the regional council of Gezer. The kibbutz received its name in honor of the ancient Canaanite city of Gezer , which is currently an archaeological site and is located a kilometer from the kibbutz.

Content
History
The kibbutz was founded in 1945 by new repatriates from Europe .
Since 1961, residents left the kibbutz several times, new people settled, until in 1974 the kibbutz was settled by immigrants from the United States .
Population
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel , the population at the beginning of 2018 was 274 people [1] .
