Leonora Safyevna Kuvatova ( Bashk. Leonora Safa ҡyҡy Ҡyuatova , born 1948 , Ufa ) - ballet dancer and teacher, art director of the Bashkir Choreographic College named after R. Nureyev (in 1994-2005 and since 2007) and the ballet troupe of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater (since 2009). People's Artist of the RSFSR and Bashkortostan, Laureate of the S. Yulaev Prize and the Soul of Dance Prize of the Ballet Magazine.

She was the wife of the artist and choreographer Shamil Teregulov (1947-2008).
Biography
Kuvatova Leonora Safyevna [1] was born on November 9, 1948 in Ufa . It came from the Bashkir noble family of the Kuvatovs .
She studied at the Leningrad Choreographic School , where among her teachers were I. A. Trofimova and A. I. Pushkin . In school stage practice, she danced on the stage of the theater. S. M. Kirova , together with Mikhail Baryshnikov, performed the main part in the ballet “ The Nutcracker ” by Vasily Vainonen .
After graduating from college in 1967 , she was admitted to the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater . She was a soloist of his ballet troupe until 1993 . She performed with foreign tours in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Italy, France, Portugal, Holland, USA, India, Vietnam, Mexico, Japan.
In 1987, she began teaching classical dance at the Ufa Choreographic School (now the Bashkir Choreographic College named after Rudolf Nureyev ), in 1994 she was appointed to the post of its artistic director [2] , which she currently holds (with a break in 2005-2007. )
Since 2002, she has been working as a tutor-tutor at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. Also, together with Shamil Teregulov, she worked in Japan, in the ballet studio of the ballerina Yeko Tsukamoto, gave master classes in Japan, Turkey, Italy.
Among the students of Kuvatova are the ballerinas Natalya Sologub [3] , Irina Sapozhnikova, Larisa Olimpieva.
Since 2009 , Leonora Kuvatova - the main choreographer of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater . Holding this post, was the artistic director of the International Rudolf Nureyev Festival of Ballet Art in Ufa (2009, 2010, 2011).
Among her works as a director are “ Chopiniana ” by M. Fokin, “ Walpurgis Night ” by L. Lavrovsky, an act of shadows from “ La Bayadere ” by M. Petipa. Kuvatova is also the director of the charm of the classics program of classical and contemporary choreography.
