Akshi ( Kazakh. Aқshi ) is a village in the Alakol district of the Almaty region of Kazakhstan . It is part of the Yrgaytinsky rural district. The KATO code is 193477200 [1] .

The village is located on the shores of Lake Alakol , several camp sites and holiday homes.
Population
In 1999, the village population was 728 people (375 men and 353 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 578 people lived in the village (284 men and 294 women) [2] .
History
Formed as a result of the merger of the state farm Akchi and the village of Balykshi [3]
